In this 1 day workshop Adrienne Tulley will introduce you to the fascinating technique of cyanotype.
Invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel and gaining prominence through the work of Anna Atkins - Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions.
Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes just requiring iron salts and the magic of sunlight to produce images of its distinctive blue.
Adrienne has been creating cyanotypes for over 15 years and in this workshop she will show you how to create cyanotypes on both paper and fabric using both sunlight and artificial UV light.
She will be using the plants from the Minories garden as well as showing you how to create images using photographic negatives.
So please join us for this fun, informative and accessible workshop.
