“No art is easy or we’d all be doing it”

In his own words:

"I approach a canvas with absolutely no idea of what I will do. I used mixed mediums – mixed for reaction as I love movement and running paint.

I listen to music ranging from pink Floyd to Red Indian tribal to dance and aboriginal.

I use wipes, my fingers,shaking,spinning,banging,tiliting to make my art work – rarely using a brush.

Sometimes it goes wrong before it goes right. I can wipe a whole painting away to find what I wanted underneath as I add to what is left.

For 27 years I worked in felt tips but for 6 years I have worked on canvases and this is the result.

My art has no right way up – it’s what you choose.
