Philosophical thinking practice course
- Wednesday 21 May – Wednesday 25 June 2025
- 7 - 9pm
- 74 High Street, Colchester, CO1 1UE
- Are your thoughts as clear as you'd like them to be, or do you often find yourself struggling to articulate your ideas?
- Do you assume thinking requires no effort, yet find yourself drowning in inner voices, unable to make a decision?
- Have you noticed how silly thoughts can turn serious and vice versa? Could your reasoning skills benefit from a deeper exploration of different perspectives and structured thinking?
- Ever thought that listening to your loved ones or people around you is the easiest thing in the world, only to realise how difficult it actually is?
Life is full of these "deceptively simple yet profoundly difficult" moments.
In this 5 week course, alongside a group of like-minded peers, we will practice philosophical thinking skills and competencies—cultivating the courage to doubt and confront ourselves.
Please note: This is a 5 week course, with sessions running 7-9pm on 21 & 28 May, 11, 18 & 25 June. Please ensure you can attend all the sessions when booking.
If you care about intellectual well-being and believe a check-up is worthwhile, join us!
Prerequisites? None! Just bring courage and a curious mind.
Disclaimer: If you think that engaging with certain beliefs or experiences might bring up difficult emotions, you must consult with the facilitator before the workshop to assess the course’s suitability for you.
